Step-by-step guide
Follow these steps to download, install and initiate JMap.

Download JMap
JMap can be downloaded directly from K2 Geospatial's web site: http://k2geospatial.com/support/ .You must have an authorized user account to access the downloads section. If you don't, you can create one. Once your new account will be validated by our team, you will be able to continue to the downloads. Contact K2 Geospatial for any question.Install Java
If Java is not already installed, you must download and install it on the computer that will run JMap Server. Consult this article for more information :Â https://k2geospatial.atlassian.net/wiki/x/DAAtAQÂ .

Send the activation file
While installing, an activationkey.txt file was generated in JMap's bin folder (for ex. C:\Program Files\JMap\bin). You must send this file by email to: license@k2geospatial.com .
ÂCopy the License file
After sending your activation file, you will receive the jmap.license file by email. You must copy this file in JMap's bin folder at the same place where the activation file is.
ÂStart JMap Server
If you installed JMap Server as a Windows service, use the Services window (Control Panel) to start JMap Server.
Otherwise, use the Start menu shortcut, or run directly startjmapserver file located in JMap's bin directory.Â
